Joint aspirations and injections are common, routine, out-patient procedures for treating joint disease or joint trauma. While these are simple, out-patient procedures, it is estimated that 30% of these procedures miss the joint space. Our new approach decreases the probability of missing the joint space, thereby improving the delivery of therapeutics and patient comfort. Using our devices, physicians and providers can realize additional revenue while improving quality of care. Our products support all types of intra-articular injections, including corticosteroids, viscosupplementation, and new regenerative therapy products.
Using the JointTap, Rheumatology practices can safely and confidently perform joint aspirations and injections without referring patients to specialists.
This includes the following procedures:
- Diagnostic Aspiration
- Corticosteroids
- Viscosupplementation
- Regenerative Therapies
The synovial fluid is displaced from the joint cavities to the target area, increasing the amount of fluid available for aspiration.
The target area under ultrasound is increased by 3x allowing for a greater range of injection angles and direct targeting of the synovial fluid.
